New lock parts
The hammer is almost done. I'm not happy with the vise screw, and will make another. May also use a larger thread. Vintage earring box for storing the parts...

Second try at the vise screw
This vise screw (on the right) is much more accurately shaped. Unfortunately, it may be only the first of several parts I'll have to re-make, starting with the frizzen. I'm hoping the lock plate will be fine.

Lock "assembled"
The frizzen is screwed on, but the hammer is just sitting over the freshly drilled hole in the lock plate. The small piece to the left is the beginnings of the tumbler.

Broaching a tiny square hole
I broached the hole slightly undersize, then filed to size.

The broach was turned and milled out of drill rod, then hardened.
